David Cristo, BScH

Communications Coordinator

David was born in Winnipeg and raised in Guelph, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Guelph in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in biological sciences.

As the region's communications coordinator since June 2007, David is responsible for regular communications with various government agencies, non-government organizations and members of the public regarding wildlife disease incidents and coordinates submissions for Canada's National Avian Influenza Surveillance Program. He also assists with necropsies, fieldwork and other tasks for the region.
