After receiving in 2005 a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire (FMV) of the Université de Montréal, Guylaine Séguin completed a one-year internship program in zoological medicine. Since then, she has been involved in the CCWHC - Quebec Regional Center as a resident in the program of Zoological Medicine - Wildlife Health Management, under the supervision of Stéphane Lair. She is also completing a Master's degree, working on avian cholera in Common Eiders.
